WPL 2026 Auction: Most Expensive Buys (Overall and Team-wise)

WPL has been running for the past three years, but there has never been a mega auction as spectacular as this year's WPL 2026 auction. This mega auction was much talked about from the very beginning, as the teams adopted a unique strategy, which everyone eagerly awaited. Finally, on November 27, 2025, the auction was successfully completed. If there were any players who were the most highlighted, it was the WPL 2026 Most Expensive Buys (Overall and Team-wise). This time, Deepti Sharma made the most headlines, being bought by UP Warriors for a whopping ₹3.2 crore. This not only made her the highest-paid player of this season, but also the second Indian player in WPL history to receive such a large payday.

Apart from this, it was clearly visible in the WPL auction that this time the WPL 2026 squads have tried to strike a proper balance between experience and young talent, so that some talent can also be found which can play a major role in taking the team to the title. Along with this, RTM rules were also implemented, due to which the teams got a second chance to take back their released players in the team. This time all the teams, be it Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Giants, Delhi Capitals, and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, all made big signings.

In today's blog post, we are going to talk about the highest paid players of WPL 2026, including Indian and Overseas players. In this, we are also going to talk about the players' salaries and market values.
